With a grand debut last year ( 2007 Event report: http://signalspot.com/software-freedom-week-07 2007 SFD Event recognition:http://softwarefreedomday.org/Competition2007/Winners ), we are in for a wider, bigger and grander Open Source promotion this September 2008.
We have as many as 12 open source promo events spread across 6 sections this time in SFW 08 which will open from 15th Sept 2008.
Vision
1) To make a difference to many organizations by replacing commercial and cracked wares they use, by suitable and potential open source contemporaries.
2) To be the major and key promoters of the spirit of Open source in this part of the Country.
1) To popularize and promote the spirit of Open source - “Intellect is no man’s property”.
2) To reach out and educate people/organizations about the opportunities,availabilities,advantages of Open Source wares, that can revolutionize and ease there work habitat.
3) To trigger,excite and orient the thoughts of budding techies towards the impact and destiny of this contemporary Open Source revolution.
